Project Overview
The Wrigley Heights River Park was identified in the 2018 Lower Los Angeles River Revitalization Plan as a key opportunity site that offers the potential to continue Dominguez Gap like wetland southward.
Location
Project Site located in the City of Long Beach, along Wardlow Road to E 208th Street.
Some of the various features being developed include:
- Wetlands and recharge basins
- Recreation center and river amphitheater
- Community garden and public art
- Fix it stations and seating
Potential benefits include:
- Enhance local water capture and use
- Enhance and create diverse, vibrant public spaces
- Increase community green infrastructure
- Promote wellness and physical activity
