Project Overview 

LAR South of Willow St was identified in the 2018 Lower Los Angeles River Revitalization Plan as a key opportunity site along the Lower Los Angeles River for in-river improvements and restoration. 

Location 

Project site located in the City of Long Beach, LA River segment along south of Willow St.

Some of the various features being developed include: 

• Multi-use trails, bridges, and overlooks 
• Community garden and public art  
• Stream restoration and channel terracing  

Potential Benefits Include:  

• Increase equitable community access to multi-use trails and assets  
• Enhance and create diverse, vibrant public spaces  
• Conserve, enhance, and restore habitat, biodiversity, and floodplain functions
