Project Overview 

The Cudahy River Park has been identified as a key opportunity site in the 2018 Lower Los Angeles River Revitalization Plan as an improvement for the Lower Los Angeles River and existing Cudahy River Park in the City of Cudahy. Conceptual development is considering options that could potentially convert River Road into a linear park adjacent to Lower LA River. 

Location 

Project located in the City of Bell Gardens, South Gate, and in Cudahy River Park located in the City of Cudahy.  

Some of the various features being developed include:  

• New bridge at Clara Street, and gateway  
• Wetland and habitat areas  
• Community garden and public art and murals  
• Multi-use trails for pedestrians, bicyclist, and equestrian  

Potential benefits include: 

• Enhance connectivity  
• Conserve, enhance, and restore habitat  
• Increase community green infrastructure  
• Increase equitable community access to multi-use trails
