Project Overview 

The Wrigley Heights River Park was identified in the 2018 Lower Los Angeles River Revitalization Plan as a key opportunity site that offers the potential to continue Dominguez Gap like wetland southward.  

Location 

Project Site located in the City of Long Beach, along Wardlow Road to E 208th Street.  

Some of the various features being developed include: 

  • Wetlands and recharge basins  
  • Recreation center and river amphitheater 
  • Community garden and public art  
  • Fix it stations and seating 

Potential benefits include: 

  • Enhance local water capture and use  
  • Enhance and create diverse, vibrant public spaces  
  • Increase community green infrastructure  
  • Promote wellness and physical activity
